SIX OF CROWS is a YA fantasy set in the same universe as SHADOW AND BONE. I've seen a lot of people say this is better than the above trilogy, and have to agree. It's less war, more heist, and much more fast-paced. It's crazy, I read over half the book in a day. I was pulled in first by the scene at the beginning (with Geel and his gang), and I remained hooked as things played out (betrayals, prisn breaks, etc.)
Despite that, SIX OF CROWS is quite a long book. The length is daunting but not super. This book is action-packed, never dull, and twisted. The ending, more so than I could have imagined. Seriously, talk about a cliffhanger. Book two here I come.

Pretty good! I’ve enjoyed most of what I’ve read from Bardugo but skipped the first books in this world because I read mixed things. Find it a little hard to believe/remember that these kids are supposed to be 17. Good character development and I’m enjoying the world building which I think was done fairly well considering this is set in the same world as another series.

i dont think this was for me. while i had fun reading it i didnt feel connected to the characters and their found family situation felt kinda forced. i have so much appreciation for the world and character building but i just didnt really feel in it. once i realized that it was YA it kinda made sense soo
i can't believe how long this book sat on my shelf. the world building was absolutely wonderful, and the relationship dynamics are EVERYTHING. cannot wait to read the final book <3
