I already love Amy Schumer, and listening to her on Audio made it 10x more funny to listen to instead of reading it. She has a great story and its amazing to hear. I'm surprised of all that she has went through and how humble a person that she truly is. Great book in my opinion. I love lady comedians and very happy to have read this one. Keep going Amy!
I have to admit that this book was slow to grow on me and I wasn't getting all the hype. It was just Amy doing her thing, shallow and raunchy. Then boom, she got real. And that made all the difference. Definite must read.
A good, easy read (or audiobook, read by Schumer--this is how I read it). Very funny and a lot more that resonated with me than I thought!
It's exactly what you expect and want if you're a fan of her comedy.
Amy goes pretty deep into some areas that a casual fan may not be into. If you think this is going to be a laugh a minute book, don't pick it up. It's damn funny but it's also pretty intense at points. Also, audiobook read by her is the way to go.
This is probably one of my favorite non fiction books that I have read this year. Amy didn't try to encompass her entire life, but rather the moments that defined her. At the end of the book, not only do I feel as though I know her better than the Comedian that makes vagina jokes, but as a person that I would want to know better and admire more.
This was good, but somewhat long. I enjoyed her stories and I laughed a lot, but she would get distracted with a main story and tell another story which would make me lose my attention.
I think the best way to describe this book is to call it "heartless." It just felt so fake. I know that Amy is a good writer, but this book does not show it at all.
I went on a two-week-long road trip and my friend brought this along as an audiobook for us to listen to along the way. It was glorious, and just the thing to keep us awake and engaged on the long 500+ mile days.
I went into this knowing very little about the author or her story, and enjoyed it thoroughly all the same. Amy narrated her own book for the audio version, and I loved how she did it and it was a blast to listen to. She covers many topics, some just for amusement, some from her own life, and some from an activist point of view. Almost all of the book is funny, but a lot of it is serious too, and it includes a lot of ground on two deadly important topics - abusive relationships and gun control. There's a lot to learn, and a lot to be entertained by, and the two go hand-in-hand to really make this a learning as well as a fun experience. Amy doesn't shirk from pointing out that her life is the result of some luck and a lot of really hard work, and reminds the reader/listener of that multiple times, which is important in today's instant gratification society.
This was a funny and interesting memoir, but it is not for youngsters or those who clutch their pearls at the word vagina. If you've got a wicked sense of humor, enjoy SNL or similar comedy shows, then you'll probably love this book just as I did.

I went into reading this book having never watched any of Amy Schumer's stand up or watched her show, but I still found this book funny. If you're a fan of hers, I'm sure you would love this book. Not as funny as my other favorite ladies (Tina and Mindy), but I did enjoy this book more than some others I've read.
In case you were wondering, my hierarchy of funny women memoirs (so far):
Tina Fey > Mindy Kaling > Amy Schumer > Amy Poehler
