She's an introspective introvert. Who would have thought it? I appreciated her self-deprecating humor, of course, as that's what we know her for. I enjoyed even more her candor about some very difficult topics. I hope every young woman that admires her reads this. Her kind of strength comes from experience, and better you learn from her than have to go through it yourself. Not saying more so I don't spoil it for you, but read it - especially if you're a woman under age 25.

Not as funny as I thought it would be. I appreciate her more serious moments, but they seem forced.

No holds barred from Ms. Amy.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one! I downloaded it on a whim while waiting for other audiobooks to come in, and figured it was "just another" lady comic memoir. Something fun to pass the time. But it was so much more than that! I felt like I got a real picture of Amy Schumer, and she seems way more like a real person than I ever expect a celebrity to be. It's not all jokes and sarcasm, but tackles real issues of abuse, disease, arrest, sexism, and gun violence, all without sounding preachy or depressing. Way to go, Schuums.

Listened on my commute. My favorite parts were actually when Schumer was discussing serious topics. Her comedy can be a little over the top for me.

I enjoyed listening to Amy's history and how it's helped shape her and her comedy. Passionate about feminism and gun violence, a professed introvert and a collector of creepy dolls. All read by Amy with her wit and storytelling skills from her stand up and TV shows.

I listened to the audiobook and Amy reads it. It made me laugh. This book reminds the reader to practice self love and give less fucks. It’s crude and the writing isn’t amazing, but if you’re surprised by that than you aren’t familiar with Amy Schumer’s comedy.

I was kind of on the fence about this book. I think I would like Amy Schumer a lot more if she was less vulgar and shared a lot. This biography was intensely personal and certainly shared A LOT of personal stuff. She really didn't leave any stone unturned. It was kind of unnerving and TMI to read about certain events in her life. That being said, after weeding through all of her sex talk, she was a lot deeper and wittier than her stand up would have led me to believe. She doesn't sell her book as a self help book at all but there were some take aways from her experiences that would be useful for most people to walk away with.

I don't have a lot to say about this, but I think it stands up there with [b:Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?|10335308|Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (Though I love Amy Poehler, [b:Yes Please|20910157|Yes Please|Amy Poehler|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1402815435s/20910157.jpg|40098620] was one that fell short in that for me.) The writing is smooth and conversational, and the stories are (mostly) accessible, relatable, funny, and interesting.

Just because everyone like it, it doesn't mean I have to

This one just wasn't for me!
[a:Amy Schumer|13672918|Amy Schumer|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1466346744p2/13672918.jpg] addressed some pretty serious stuff in this book, which can help a lot of people, unfortunately I'm not one of them.
I just couldn't find a connection with her or her life.
