I highly recommend, especially the audiobook. She's hilarious but also very much down to earth with great insights.

Finallllyyyyty I finished this audiobook... after I went on maternity leave in September and stopped commuting i stopped listening for a while, but not because I wasn't enjoying it, it just fell out of my routine. And I did enjoy it, very much.

Schumer is at her best when she's using humor to illuminate the most painful moments of her life - from navigating her fathers illness, to her experience of rape, and an abusive relationship, she excelled at making me laugh so I didn't cry. I especially appreciated the ways in which she discusses the impact of having been raped on her life; not just the initial horror of the moment but also on her self perception and sex life moving forward from that moment. There was a lot that, unfortunately, resonated with my own experience.

Dislikes? Lists. Too many lists. Also, I found her reading of the book to be a little stiff - it often felt exactly like that - reading off of a paper rather than telling a story. I'm sure it's a matter of preference, but when an author reads their own words, I'd hope for a little more naturalistic performance.

Yes, there's a lot of profanity. But there's also a lot of heart, vulnerability, hilarity and realness. I absolutely enjoyed this one.

About half way through this book Amy Schumer jokes about the reader picking up a pattern: that she's a hypocrite and a flake. Unfortunately she's correct and like the rest of the book it's not funny. This book is full of contradictory PSA-style messages and meaningless power phrases such as "I am myself and I am all of you." It's one of the worst written celebrity memoirs I've ever read and makes me like Schumer less. Some people should just stick with the art forms they're good at.

I listened to this audio book and there were parts that I was actually laughing so hard I had to stop what I was doing and compose myself. I went into this book not expecting much as I feel like these are hit or miss but was pleasantly surprised.

Of course there were some parts that I wanted to skip forward through and Amy seemed a little preachy, but all in all a good book.

This book was not only funny but empowering and real.

Narrated by Amy Schumer and it was well done. I like her mix of funny and serious stories and I like that she is not afraid to stand up for herself and what she believes in.

Funny and witty, exactly what you expect from Amy Schumer. Although her wit is portrayed throughout this book she also expresses her political standpoint, which only made me love her more. A person in power speaking out.

Audiobook

Audiobook was great. Funny, touching, empowering and feminist.
