Amy made me laugh out loud several times. She also has some important messages and philosophies for our world today.
I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. It was funny, yet somewhat cringe-worthy at parts; but more because of my lack of appreciation for crude humor, not Amy's writing. I appreciated her sharing so much of herself in this book and was impressed by the depth and breadth of topics covered and the fact that she's lived so much life in her 30-something years. It was enjoyable and if you love books written by comedians, it's worth your time.
Quirky, quick read. Similar to other recent celebrity memoirs I've read (Mindy Kaling, Amy Poehler, Anna Kendrick) in that it has some good moments, and some issues. I enjoyed hearing some of the stories, I always find it interesting to have some context on a famous person. Some stuff was funny, some missed the mark for me (the rant about guns and "legally blind" people, for example. Amy, if you ever happen to read this and have not already, please take a moment to read what it actually means "legally blind" http://www.webmd.com/eye-health/legally-blind-meaning ).
The organization of it was severely lacking...kind of jumped all over the place. But I think that's what happens in most of these memoirs, especially those written by younger celebrities, because they don't really take the time or yet have a main theme to work around. Its more about showing the world who they are/defending themselves against rumors/finding a way to keep themselves relevant, than it really is about their life. Yet.
All in all, I think it's important to have voices like Amy's out there, in a book, for guys and gals to read. Some of it is vulgar, some of it I related to, and some was maybe tmi. It met my expectations but did not exceed them.

I belly laughed. I cheered. I identified. I wept. This book was amazing and I would recommend it to every person, male or female, who has ever doubted themselves, felt bad about themselves, questioned the system, or struggled to remain strong when bad things happened.
Some parts of this book were funny, and some others parts were moving. Overall, it was just okay for me. I didn't know much about Schumer, so I went in with curiosity. I'm glad I read it.
Love it! I highly suggest listening to the audiobook read by Amy. She is vulnerable, funny, honest, and perfectly her.
Finished the audiobook earlier today on my drive down to Beecher City - absolutely love Amy Schumer! She's smart, funny, and talented.
I listened to the audiobook of this and I highly recommend. I am so glad that I finally got to know Amy in a way that makes me appreciate her work even more now. Great audiobook. It brings just as many laughs as it does truly moving emotional beats. If you are considering reading this, go for it.
I listened to this as an audiobook and I enjoyed it. It was funny, entertaining, and gives you a different view of what the real Amy might be like.
