The ending was a little abrupt, but otherwise, this was really enjoyable.

I loved this book! This book gave me all of the emotions, it even made me cry and I haven’t cried over a book before. The two main characters where greatly portrayed and the back story’s where done nicely too. I will not give away any spoilers. I recommend this book very highly!!

OMG!!!! This book was everything and kept me wanting to know more about the main characters and their background. This book was definitely a page tuner where I could not put the book down. All loved every single thing about this book. The character building, the world building, the African culture, etc was amazing. There were also certain elements in the book that made me have a better grasp of different cultures and background for the tribes in this book because it tribe was a different and they had their own morals, traditions, and beliefs which I found very fascinating. But also more importantly there were elements of realism in this book, which brought me to tears especially when it came down to the story of the twins, their parents, and what had happened to their parents. Also I like the fact that there are actual Igbo woads in this book as well as a dictionary because when I was reading this book I immediately felt like I was in Africa. This is a very unique book they I feel everyone should read. Also this book has the feel of what I think Africa was before colonialism and how each tribe may have had there differences but there were times where they would come together as one celebrating victories, festivals, etc. This book is phenomenal! I am so excited for the next book because I want to go back to NRI and know even more about Naala and Sinai because they are brilliant characters have lived different lives, were. separated, and yet they soon met and felt like they were never separated from each other. Not only is this book about two twins with magic, but it also provided a great aspect of family and love, which is something I rarely read in a book.

Absolutely loved this one. The pace was great, I enjoyed the story, and I found myself relating to both twins in different ways.
