Great addition to the series! Lots of information about the Nightwings. Secrets revealed. Great set up for book five (April 28, 2014).

It was really good, I just didn't like that Starflight was separated from the others.

I really like Starflight, and I was very intrigued to know the story behind the Nightwings. I enjoy the pacing of these books so much, as we're not stuck in the same loops or similar areas/plots at all. Side bar: I also loved Glory so much in the last couple of books, too, especially after the (in a vague, spoiler free way)... developments... of the last book. The book felt a bit more "middle book" than the last couple have felt, but it sets it up for the conclusion in the next book so well.

Me and my son keep loving these books!

I was wary to read this because Starflight was not very interesting to me. He also seemed a coward and just plain annoying. While he's still not my favorite character, I do like him more now. I had a very hard time with this book. First of all, Starflight was almost the only one of the main characters in it. That made the story very one-sided. It also gave the opportunity to introduce new characters. I think Sutherland took a risk doing this, especially in a children's novel, because there were only two semi-likeable characters (Starflight and Fatespeaker) and the book concentrated on the treachery and horror of the volcano, the lack of anything good and overall gloom.
