Great final volume to the series. I didn't read the whole thing, but this ties things up well, in the way I thought they should have been, and mostly closes up all the plotlines.
Welp, I'm done! Light, fluffy read, but not exactly a standout when it comes to ending a long running series. It had elements that I enjoyed, was completely predictable in some regards, yet still had some surprises. Nothing big, but enough to keep me reading. Not really a big fan of how it all ended so neatly for Sookie, but I suppose she deserves her happy ending.
Really enjoyed this book, it wrapped everything up and it ended how it should of I'm gutted its ended but glad it ended so well, highly recommend this book and the whole series!
Woah. I didn't give it 2 stars because of the way the romance ended, because it actually ended the way I'd been hoping for several books. I gave it 2 stars because the writing and plotting are HORRIBLE!
OMG. This book SUCKED! Seriously, it was awful. Absolutely dull. Harris is obviously too involved with HBO to give the books much attention. It was like she had a list of all the characters ever mentioned in the series and made sure to include a perfunctory comment or cameo appearance from each.
The moments when Sookie was with Sam were stiff and uninteresting. Eric was in the book twice. Pam made her cameo at the end... Really?
DON'T BUY THIS BOOK! HARRIS DOESN'T DESERVE MONEY FOR SUCH CRAP!

Yes, there are holes in the plot and discrepancies from previous books. Yes, it's obvious that the author was done with the series and tired of writing. And yes, it has the worst sex scene I've ever read. It's possibly the worst ever written.
However, I still didn't think the book was as bad as other reviewers made it out to be. I almost didn't read it, but I'm glad I did.
Overall it was still an enjoyable read, if you let the discrepancies go.

13 books and I still hate Sookie. I thought maybe the show just made her unlikeable, but nope she sucks in the books too. At least I’m done. Also, the sex scene... ewww.

Okay, this is sort of difficult to do without spoilers, but I'll try my best. I do understand why a lot of people are very angry about the ending of the book. I guess, everybody expected her to end up with someone else, but I actually had a feeling it would be the person it now turned out to be. And I'm not mad about it. I think he's a really good guy and Sookie needs someone like him (although I am not sure she deserves him).
All in all, I think this was a nice conclusion to the series. Sort of like a reunion and last appearance of everyone and that's always a nice treat for fans! It could have been better, but in my opinion it also could have been a looooot worse.
