Can't say I'm either surprised or disappointed with the ending. Only three stars though because most of the book felt a bit like the author just wanted to see how many of the characters she could write in. Too much going on.

So disappointed in this, I hate when things end with ALL of the characters ever mentioned come back. The person she ends up with seems forced and just irked me.

Dissapointing end to one of my favorite series.

I glanced at a few reviews of this book before I started it and I was worried. Some people seemed to be pretty furious about the way this series wrapped up. Without giving too much away, I'll just say I thought it ended just as it should have. I powered through this book and enjoyed it very much.

Not anywhere close to as good as the first couple books in this series, but that had been happening since around the midpoint already.

Many reviews I've read HATED the ending, specifically that she ended up with Sam. But I felt like CH had been leading Sookie to this all along. It's the most logical choice for Sookie...but in a magical world such as this, I don't think it necessarily needed to be. I'm accepting though and glad to be done with the series finally!

I read this for my 2020 Reading Challenge the prompt was a book with a character a vision imparment or enhancement. Well to me Vampires count as enhancements. I was really looking forward to finishing this series but it did not end how I wanted it to. I really wanted her to end up with Eric and I definitely didnt see her ending up with Sam

This book can be summed up in three words - WORST. ENDING. EVER. Even though I'd predicted that the series would end this way, I was hoping Ms. Harris would throw a curveball. I'm giving this book 4 stars because I'm a fan of the series as a whole and can see myself re-reading it in the future...albeit wishing for a different ending.

Meh. Just read this to close out the series. Will not be reading any of her others.

It was a good story, but not as good as the others. This one was too quick, and didn't seem to be wrote with the 'love' the others had been written with. The ending was ok, I was kind of expecting it, but there wasn't much with the rest of the characters, only a few paragraphs, mentions, or appearances, even for important ones! that was disappointing.

Overall it was a good ending, but the book could've been a lot longer, with more detail and more character interactions.

Loved it! Think it's probably a good think the series has come to an end because it was started to get a bit repetitive. However, I loved the ending of the series and it's how I expected it to be.
