everyone in this book is an asshole, so bill clinton being a double asshole is really a lot.
Such a page turner! And totally just a political soap opera, but I couldn't put it down.
Deeply researched trash, over-the-top prose, absurd nicknames, and occasionally cogent analysis: pure goodness.
Wow! Very interesting! I like that the book didn't follow the political opinions of the candidates, but rather followed the politics of running for office! Lots of behind-the-scene scoop, which was riveting! And nobody was spared!
The 2008 election is really the first election I paid attention to, so I found this book fascinating. It seems especially pertinent in this election year, and makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes this time around.
Couldn't put this one down. Devoured it in a day and enjoyed it immensely.
Great read - almost like a novel. No matter your party or politics, you will be surprised at the sheer craziness of most people in national politics and how in my opinion, they essentially sell their souls to achieve and keep power.
I love these insider looks at campaigns. I'm amazed what some of these staffers and candidates will share with the authors. Nobody comes off looking great, and none worse than John and Elizabeth Edwards. It sure drives home what a massive ego one must have to run for President of the United States.
