A great read that drew me out of my reader's block. For a detailed review click on the link below.

Really enjoyed this one, and got totally caught up in the plot. Did not put it all together before the final reveal. For once, Grisham's portrayal of women and lawyers did not piss me off. Only gave 3 stars because it is, as usual for Grisham, full of outrageously caricatured characters. But a fun read, absolutely.

Very interesting! Good job, Mr Grisham.

My very first John Girsham book -- it was okay, a little slow in some parts.

The plot was fine. Lots of nice, complicated twists and turns, however implausible. And it was nice to have part of it take place where I live, but I don't know. maybe I've had too much Grisham lately. The characters just feel like stereotypes. Protagonist who is smarter than everyone. Crooked or stupid judges, bumbling cops. And these cops believe him and set everything in motion without any real shred of evidence. I wouldn't have believed his story and I'm not even in law enforcement. But whatever. It was entertaining. It was an easy read. It just wasn't that deep.

5 star - Perfect
4 star - i would recommend
3 star - good
2 star - struggled to complete
1 star - could not finish

I haven't read a Grisham novel in 10 years, but I saw that the NYT had written a good review of this when it came out. This is an entertaining read that gets a little long in spots but is fun, overall.

গ্রিশাম আজকাল ফাউ লেখে নাকি আমার রুচি আগের চেয়ে ভালো হইসে বুঝলাম না।

If so I will be the odd one out and say that I enjoyed this book. I thought the character was well built and the plot line was well built but who knows I'm just a reader.

Malcolm Bannister is an inmate at a minimum security prison. Wrongly convicted for being an unwitting patsy in a money laundering scheme, Mal counts down the days of his 10 year sentence.

Then a federal judge is murdered and Mal knows what happened. He gets himself out of jail and into witness protection. After all, there are bad people after him. But he doesn't stay there long before things get crazy.

This book is classic Grisham. Lawyers. Caribbean beaches. Beautiful women. Plot twists galore. It was a fast read but I really enjoyed the way Grisham strung it together. No legal thriller writer makes the Caribbean sound half as amazing as Grisham.
