I heard about this series a while back and decided to give it a try. While it wasn't for me, I struggled to finish it, I still could see the appeal. But it definitely felt a bit too exaggerated and the writing just didn't reel me in. The dialogue felt off with the themes. The action was disjointed. There was really just too much going on. Maybe this improves over the series but I don't think I'll make it far enough to know. Karrigan was pretty one dimensional as we're all the characters. The concept of becoming a green rider and the green riders as a whole was really cool. I liked the fact that the MC and the captains and overall female representation was on the ball. But there was just missing something for me and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Adventurous, and a really cool concept, but the main character is somewhat helpless in the first book. Relying on determination, luck, and other’s kindness a number of times. The next few books are better!!
