I did enjoy the book, it did keep me on the edge of my seat for a while. But after a while I kept, you know, waiting for something more I guess. It’s a good quick read though!

The Details:
Narrated by Eric G. Dove
Unabridged

August pick for the Horror Summer Camp Book Club.

This was fantastic. It took the child possession trope and created more of a psychological and eery narration.

I thought the characters were excellent to read about and I loved how we flipped back and fourth to Jack's early life.

I kind of wished we got even more information about the dark entity, and I wasn't sure how it was going to end but it shocked me!

Really enjoyed this one and I think it was a great final pick to close out the summer camp of horror reads

Ania Ahlborn never disappoints, however, I have SO many questions and was left wanting so much more from Seed.

I read a lot of extreme horror and thrillers, and very few make me feel as uncomfortable as this one did. Maybe that's because I have children around the same age as Abby and Charlie who say creepy shit all the time, but regardless, this book spooked the heck out of me.

An unreliable MC, scary kids, beautiful descriptions of New Orleans and its general vibe (one of my favorite places in the world) and a little bit of "hey there demon, it's me, ya boy", Seed was an engaging read with some horrific details that I won't soon forget.

Wow. This book does not spare the reader. I loved it. Gruesome. Infuriating. Appalling.

You will suffer in agony along with this family and do not expect happiness to return once it leaves
