🌶️🌶️ - lots of drama, some unbelieveable

Taboo relationship in a small town with a cowboy who is twice her age and her ex’s dad?? Sign me up! Found this book through an insta reel and was sold from one quote haha

This book was so fun, I loved both of our main characters. Noah being the badass horse trainer proving everybody wrong and Fischer, the former bull rider trying to make amends with his son, while also fighting his attraction to the girl he shouldn’t want.

I found so many parts hilarious, Gramma Grace is a real hoot, and the way she figures everything out is so iconic.
Definitely a lot more drama than I’m used to in a small town romance but it certainly kept me entertained! Add in some tension and swoon worthy scenes of him playing nurse when she gets injured, and truly it’s just a great time.

I will say the ending was the most unbelievable thing I’ve ever read, the proposal and the baby. I’m all for an epilogue of their future but that was a bit too on the nose.
As much as I wanted to know about the rest of the family’s relationships, I’m not sure if I’ll continue with the series right now (really dislike the other man’s baby trope) but maybe in the future!

Everything about this book is amazing. You get the best taboo relationship of ex boys friends dad, forbidden love and a whole lot of spice! Then add in Noah’s smart mouth and whitty comebacks and this book will have you hooked about laughing at the same time!

i really really enjoyed this book! i went in blind, not knowing anything but i got hooked! i am obsessed with the universe, it feels like already so much happened in this first book. the chemistry between the two main characters was so palpable through the pages, it made me jealous at times!!

i am also so over the “try to stuff your romance book with as many taylor swift references as possible” trend, it should come as a content warning at this point.

Spicy bull rider

This was a great book! These two compliment each other so well. He is definitely a tortured hero but she is the sunshine to brighten up his life. The book starts in the most horrifying scene but ends so beautifully and I feel like that says a lot about how these two are.

An odd moment when Fisher first comes to the barn and Noah goes attack mode immediately especially since you have no idea why she would, considering she never told him that she dated his son! But when they realize that they can’t keep going on falling in love with each other because of Fisher’s relationship with Jase and how Noah doesn’t make him choose now that’s some serious love! She sacrifices her heart for his relationship with Jase. Although almost immediately after she gets hurt and he starts taking care of her, frankly the fact that she lasts 3-4 days before saying what she did about him breaking her heart seems like a miracle to me.
Also the entire Craig and Ian timeline seemed very odd to me, because the reader only witnesses 3 interactions total with those guys and they truly do not have enough of a dramatic moment to make them villainous enough to do what they did.

I loved the proposal, it was beautiful and sweet! And coming home to find out that extra news was adorable, although how someone forgets for two weeks that they didn’t take their bc well…ya no I don’t see that happening.

I had a lot of thoughts here but the book was sassy, fun, sweet and spicy! ♥️

I have thoroughly enjoyed this one and getting to explore these characters. Their story is definitely an interesting one, I loved how their 3rd act break up wasn't a massive thing but was done quite quietly. I personally did feel like one little bit towards the end was resolved quickly in the moment, there is still work done after the event but within the exact moment it felt resolved then and there (I realise that probably doesn't make any sense). I do enjoy how Brooke Montgomery throws in these random plot points that you don't normally see within a small town romance, as it gives this added little layer to it and watching it all play out, the characters reactions, is actually really entertaining. I loved the little banter and comical moments, not just between our main characters, but also all the side characters, it had me laughing and smiling to myself so much. I really enjoyed out main characters and how well they worked and balanced each other out. Noah is such a strong woman, who is so determined to prove herself and is confident in her work, but at the same time so selfless when it comes to taking what she wants for her personal life. Fisher is such a protective and supporting man, that shows he is always there for her, even when he is respecting her boundaries and I loved seeing that. I'm so happy for the ending the characters got, as they most definitely deserved it after everything they had been through and we have definitely set up nicely for the next book.
