Yes, just YES! Some of my favorite tropes all in one, like age gap, secret relationship, & ex’s dad!

Daddy Fisher is just delicious, & I love a strong FMC like Noah! How they meet & then how they come back together after that meet just made for so many great moments. They literally can’t stay away from each other or keeps their hands off each other.

One of my favorite reads this year!

Reading this book was excruciating.

First time reading any books from Brooke Montgomery and it won't be the last. I loved the writing style, the dual POV and the characters were very likeable. She did a great job in bringing the characters to life too. I did read this book in one day and I'm gutted i now have to wait for the next book. The epilogue was so cute too!! I am a sucker for age gap / ex's family members troupe so this was the perfect book!

Only issue.. We read the scene in the food truck and then have their sex off page like why do me like that? I want the smut, but i did get more spicy scenes later on so the author did claw her 5⭐ back.. But in my head i did change her name, i couldn't click reading 'Noah' for a girl when that's my son's name.

I HATE hate hate the age gap trope but I LOVED loved loved this book! Fisher and Noah as a couple made sense immediately and I was rooting for them as I turned each page. Also,

This book was a pleasant surprise. I downloaded it from KU off a whim and was immediately hooked. The spice starts immediately and doesn't ever let up. I liked the romance. This was the first book I've read with the ex boyfriend's dad trope but I think this one did it tastefully and it was very well done! I also enjoyed the bit of suspense that was going on within the story line.

I will definitely continue with this series. I love a good small town cowboy romance series and I think this one is a winner!

I'm on my knees!

I'm emotionally and wholeheartedly attracted to Fisher Underwood.

I don't even have the right words to describe how I lived myself into this book!

I was on fire. I was melting. I was grieving. I was laughing. I was gasping. I was falling IN LOVE!

This book is pure perfection! It stole my heart one forbidden word at a time! And I'm not mad about it. This will always be a book that will be at the top of my recommendations list. Dammit it's everything.

Tropes: *This is where it gets really good

Brooke Montgomery (Sugarland Creek, #1)

"I would give up the privilege of breathin’ if it meant takin’ an ounce of your pain away.”

When Noah's one night stand turns out to be her ex's dad and her new employee, she knows there's no way this is a good idea. But how can they deny what's building between them?

Tropes:
– Ex-boyfriend's dad
– Age gap
– Workplace romance

This was so good! I loved the tension between Noah and Fischer and he was such a mature, kind, loving man who wanted to take things slow and knew Noah deserved more than just a one night stand. I loved how their relationship started with all the spice and the flirting and how it became slow wooing and the honeymoon phase and then the angst when they were trying to navigate tricky waters but still could not stay away from one another. Everything about this was such a fun ride from the romance, the spice, the banter, and the bits of action as well.

The brothers' banter is MY FAVORITE. They are so funny and their dad's low tolerance for it is all the more funny. I just know Wilder's book is going to hit different, but until then I am so very excited for [b:Stay With Me|195725346|Stay With Me (Sugarland Creek, #2)|Brooke Montgomery|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1699394608l/195725346._SY75_.jpg|197605090], Tripp and Magnolia's story too! Loving Sugarland Creek so much and cannot wait for more!

DID NOT FINISH: 40%

I realized I don't really care for the story.

oh. my. god. where has this book been all my life???
age gap, ex boyfriends dad, traumatic past???? I WAS SAT.

this was so so so good. i don’t even know what to do with myself. fisher and noah were literally everything.

fisher loses his daughter a decade prior to meeting noah where he and noah have what they think will be a one night stand, but ends up, turning into more when he ends up working for her family, and they fight their feelings for each other bc she’s his sons ex gf and he doesn’t have a good relationship with him but they inevitably give in and Jesus Christ, they were hot
