This book was so good and had me hooked from the very beginning. I did not want to put it down. The characters, the plot, and the spice were so good to me. I can not wait for the next one to come out.

I love Noah and Fisher’s story! I’m a sucker for the exes, dad, trope, and this one was great! Sweet and spicy!
It was insta love if I ever read it. WHY SO SERIOUS AT PAGE 10?!
They met 5 hours ago and she is babbling and says ”you probably don’t care” and he takes her by the chin and says ”I do when it’s you”. A very sweet moment IF IT WASNT ON PAGE 60 AND THEIR FIRST ENCOUNTER 😔

I'm on my knees!
I'm emotionally and wholeheartedly attracted to Fisher Underwood.
I don't even have the right words to describe how I lived myself into this book!
I was on fire. I was melting. I was grieving. I was laughing. I was gasping. I was falling IN LOVE!
This book is pure perfection! It stole my heart one forbidden word at a time! And I'm not mad about it. This will always be a book that will be at the top of my recommendations list. Dammit it's everything.
Tropes: *This is where it gets really good

✨ small town romance
✨ ex boyfriends dad
✨ cowboy
✨ age gap - 22 years
Noah runs into a mysterious older man Fisher Underwood at rodeo and decides to have one night of fun with this stranger she has an instant connection to. Only to find out after he’s her ex boyfriends estranged father who moved back to reconnect with his son. He also just took a job on her family’s ranch. Noah and Fisher decide that it’s too messy and they need to stay friends, because there’s a no dating rule between co workers and Fisher can’t destroy his already fragile relationship with his son. But when neither of them can deny how they feel about the other they start a secret relationship until everything blows and they’re left to decide are being together worth giving up everything for.
I will say that I absolutely devoured this book. From the very beginning I had so much fun between these two. Noah was a spit fire and confident woman who knew her worth and just what she was made of. Fisher was still drowning in grief and ready to move forward when he meets the one woman he can’t have.
I love how much these two balance each other out. Noah bings out the sides of Fisher he hasn’t seen in years. The younger version who looks forward to life and let’s himself has fun and Noah gets someone who knows her value and lets her shine but will always been in her corner to love and cherish her.
While I’m not a fan of the 3rd act breakup/ conflict I do feel in this situation it was necessary for Fishers character growth and I could reason with just how needed it was for these two eventually get their happily ever after. There’s some suspense elements and even 4 older brothers who bring so much extra fun to this story.
There’s no shortage of spice and tension in this book. Add in the forbidden aspect and these two could light your kindle or book on fire.

It was a 4-5 star up until the culmination but then it just didn't deliver on the payout. But it's very sweet, so if you want a little bit of heartbreak and then a whole lot of sweetness, give it a go.
Probably the sweetest ex-boyfriend’s dad romance I’ve read?
I’m used to them having a somewhat more darker tone, but I’m glad to see the sub genre expanding. This did have romantic suspense elements and dealt with some heavy content so please check out trigger warnings.
