This was a thrilling ride start to finish. She incorporates flashbacks of how these people came together, so you truly feel like a part of their group as the mystery slowly unravels.

This is my first Rachel Hawkins, had zero expectations going in. The plot moved quickly, I liked the multiple POVs looking back. Interesting twists and I wasn’t mad at the ending.

This was a good thriller. I didn't expect the twist at all. But the book went so slowly for the first half, and then suddenly wham, everything's happening, and I could barely wrap my head around it. A little disappointed in this one since I loved The Wife Upstairs so much.

It's a solid beach read or one for a lazy Sunday. Do not expect to be wowed by a twist in this one.  The story is about what you would expect - the characters are just interesting enough, the setting is beautiful and the pacing is at a clip that makes you feel like you should finish it. With that being said, it's a bit slow in the middle when the author attempts to build tension and mystery.

This was a good mysterious thriller! There’s some parts that are slightly eye rolling because people just need to talk for like 5 minutes and clear this up but otherwise, it’s a cool setting on the island. There’s a ton of twists and turns and I was interested in how it was going to end!
