Such a fun vacation read. It was especially entertaining because I’m currently vacationing on a boat and this was set on a deserted island off of hawaii, the characters all navigating to paradise on their sailboat that’s potentially too good to be true. Loved all the haunting twists and witty characters. Their dialogue in serious situations had me smiling. The flashbacks had me second guessing what might be going on the entire book. My only critique is how fast it all wrapped up. I remember thinking, “wait, I’m at 95%, how’s this going to end?” Felt a little bit forced for all the buildup and fun twists. All that said, enjoyed the entire ride this fun read took me on. Vacation book win!

When paradise turns to purgatory. Lux, a young girl who is trying to find her way in the world, meets Nico who promises her travel and adventures. So, what could possibly go wrong leaving everything behind for a man you just met?? A quick read with great atmospheric feeling.

I really enjoyed this book. We’re there some plots holes and unresolved details, yeah. But I really liked Lux as a protagonist (almost as much as I couldn’t STAND Nico). I read in some of the other reviews that all of the characters were just bratty twenty somethings but I didn’t really see that.

Review To be continued lol

Also I absolutely love Barrie Kreinik’s narration in all of the books I’ve listened to that she’s read.
