Might pick this up again another time, it was alright but I’d had it for almost 4 weeks from the library and felt bad for hogging it when I wasn’t in the right mood for it

This book had the potential to be really good, but it fell short for me. The first half felt very choppy, while the second half flowed a bit better. For a Romantasy, there was surprisingly little focus on the romance. The connection between the FMC and her two love interests was underdeveloped. Instead of showing how their relationships grew, the story skipped over those moments and just expected the reader to believe they were in love. Overall, it felt like the author tried to pack too much into a single book. Breaking it into at least two, maybe even three, could have given the story and relationships the depth they needed.

I loved it so much. It had everything i was looking for in a book and more: plot, complex characters, a beautiful world, and so many plot twists. I can’t lie, i expected the main one a bit, BUT NOT TO THAT EXTENT. I still don’t know who i want her to end up with, but even if she’s alone I would still love that ending. Need the second book. right now. Read this book please, it reminds me of six crimson cranes.
