Incendiary is a great book that you don’t want to put down. I absolutely love reading this book and can’t wait to see if a second book will be released. Incendiary ends with you wanting more.
It didn’t grab me at this point, but I will likely pick it up again from the library.

DNF!!!! STOPPED AT PAGE 53!!! I'm so sad to give this book this rating!!!! I EVEN GAVE IT THE 5 CHAPTER RULE!!! Just by reading the first 5 chapters I already knew I didn't like the main character and none of the other characters were interesting enough to make me want to keep reading. I'm so bummed cuz I like Zoraida Cordova writing but this just ain't it for me

Buddy read with HillsOfBooks. ^^
Ah, I have mixed emotions for this novel. Coming from my enjoyment of the Brooklyn Brujas trilogy, this felt like a mediocre read to me.
I liked the magic and the setting, but it just felt like your typical YA fantasy.
It took my way too long to finish it, but the ending was worth it. I definitely enjoyed seeing it all come together in that rather substantial cliff hanger.
That being said, I'm not sure how quickly I'll be picking up the sequel.

This was different than what I wanted it to be, and I didn't realize it was a YA fantasy about fighting the government (I dont read synopses, it's usually pretty fun to do that). Oh well

incendiary was a mind-boggling read!
incendiary had a perfect blend of magic, intrigue, and heartbreak. ren was a complex main character, and i really felt connected to her and the struggles she faced.
the plot was so twisty i honestly had no idea who to trust, and the betrayal that unfolded left me heartbroken and bruised. i had a lot of theories while reading, and while a few of them were somewhat correct, none of my theories covered the full extent of what actually occurred.
the last 150 pages of this book shocked me to my core, and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover. i can’t wait to see what unfolds in the sequel.
