I couldn’t get into the characters—I think the narrators were part of the reason why! Also not sure if I’m in the mood for a sports romance right now

Fake Dating
He Falls First
Jealous ex-boyfriend
Football romance
Destined for the NFL

Bex and James are first introduced at a party when she approaches him and acts like he's her new boyfriend to get her ex to leave her alone.  Thinking she'll never see him again.  Too bad both of them are transfers from another school and have to retake a specific class that's only offered in the fall.  James needs a tutor in the class and Bex needs a fake boyfriend so her ex will leave her alone.  Together, they come to an arrangement.  Fake date but that's all.  Yeah right!

I don't know what it was about this book but it just didn't hook me.  It had a lot of potential but it seemed to have fallen short in so many areas.  I'll see if I continue the series.

I’d give it a 4.5! Super cute and pretty fun

The storyline was there, the characters were great, and the intimate scenes were tasteful, but sometimes the writing style wasn’t my favorite. I love this book as a whole, and I can’t wait to read book 2!

This is the first sports romance that I have been able to finish. I tried Ice Breaker and it was so boring and I didn’t care for the FMC. I also tried Pucking Around and it just made me irrationally irritated.

This is a duel POV book told through Bex and James. They are both students about to finish college. He is a big time football player and she is trying to get a business degree to run her mom’s diner. They end up fake dating and more develops.
I want to call it a cute read, but it does have spice.
