Oct 21, 2014 It was really interesting. In the POV of Sandor, Nine's cepan. Sad to see how the fall of Lorien came to be. No spoilers for the next book, I recommend reading in the order it was made for (before Rise of Nine) I always read novellas after I read the book, but you don't have to, there are no spoilers for the next book. It was good. Explains well. 5/5
Nov 17, 2022 I give it a 4.5/5 bc while really interesting to read about how Sandor was assigned to Nine, I slightly didn't care. Just SLIGHTLY! I would also love to read how they all got assigned to their Garde. Also Sandor told Nine he had a pretty serious girlfriend and like no you didn't bro. Was a bit confused. Audio book was slow, I listened at like 1.75 speed lol at that speed it was good, narrator just spoke slow is all, but they weren't boring to listen to.

I love these Novellas. They are so fun!! This one is a bit different as it is from the viewpoint of #9’s Cephan, Sandor. It is about the last days of Lorien and as always brings more detail to the over reaching story. I devoured it while waiting for my doctor’s appointment and was very glad that the next book was available from my digital library so I could continue to read while a piece of glass was surgically removed from my foot. I can’t bear weight on my left foot for 10 days, and I am glad I have my Lorien friends to keep me entertained during this time!!

This started off really slow. By the end I was enjoying it though. It took me forever to realize that Sandor was Nine's Cepan. I love how these books are all interconnected and each book explains things from other books.

I really like these short books. They help me understand things about Lorien stuff. As much as I liked it I always want to know more and the fact that the Fall of Five and I am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Forgotten Ones hasn't come out I am even more anxious to know more. What happens to rest of the Garde, let alone the Lorien race???
