I need a Montana cowboy in my life. This book combined two of my favorite things; a cop crime mystery and a cowboy romance. On that alone, this was bound to be a winner. I loved how the romance started pretty much as soon as the book did. There was no waiting around for the relationship. It made the feelings seem that much more plausible and real. I didn’t see the twist coming and was so shocked about who the bad guy was. I wanna go move to Montana now. BRB while I go read the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it had a perfect balance of romance and mystery and I thought the development of Winslow and Griffins relationship was really well done. It was well thought out and an enjoyable read. Search up trigger warnings though.

How do I devour a book cause I need to eat this one now. I need it to be infected into my bloodstream and to fill my waking thoughts for the rest of my life.

I did not know I needed a cowboy murder mystery romance (with spice) in my life, but now that I've read it, it's the only genre I ever want to read again. I already have the second book downloaded onto my Kindle to be read tomorrow morning.

I literally love Griffin and Winslow, like I want a love like theirs when I'm older. It was so beautiful, written, and their love felt so real, I cried multiple times reading about it. I wanna move to a small town and fall in love with a farmer and have cute babies and drink beer on the patio while sitting in rocking chair cuddling. Life is unfair that their are living my dream, and I am not but also the fact that they are fictional.

Favourite Quotes:
"It's yours. Just like the bathroom's yours. The bedroom. The closet floor. This kitchen. That TV. This house is yours."
"I returned to the house, finder her on the porch, rocking in one of the chairs. She had a beer in her hand and another ready for me. What a sight she was."
"She'd told me that one day, she hoped I'd find a man who'd fight with me. Who'd love me even when he wanted to strangle me. Who'd never quit fighting because what we had was worth a few angry words."

Songs:
Look After You by The Fray
Apple Pie by Lizzy Mcalpine
Give a Cowboy a Kiss by Cody Johnson
Hold On by Luke Grimes

I went into this book totally blind, not on purpose I just knew I wanted to read it and people rave about it so I didn't bother reading up on it and let me tell you I was shocked but in a good way! I loved this story. I loved the character building and their backgrounds.

I usually love a slow burn but this was nice for a change none of the back and forth that you usually get and no 3rd act break up which was so refreshing!

I love that there was background characters that had a story as well, leading you into the next books! I will definitely be reading the rest of the series!
