Book #2 was as wonderful as book #1. We see the end of Oakley's and Cole's ordeals. And we see how the main characters' futures begin.

This is the second book in the Silence series by Natasha Preston. This book is the aftermath of the trial of Oakley’s father. As well as the life beginning of Oakley and Cole.

I enjoyed it.

A gripping novel and a sequel to the book "Silence". In this book, Oakley was struggling to rebuild her life from scratch, and surviving a traumatic experience. The horrors of her past continues to haunt her and causes severe anxiety and trust issues. Trying to moving forward, Oakley struggles to cope up with everything around her. Filled with ups and downs, confronting her own fears and vulnerabilities Oakley struggles to find closure. Cole plays a significant role by supporting her mentally and physically, by being there for her throughout her recovery and healing. He offers a safe space to confide in and helps her deal with trauma. He becomes her ally and strength.

A rare reality in the face of abuse, the courts and recovery. This book is a great sequence to Silence and can be inspiring to others. Speak. Out.

Striking Gold

A lovely continuation of Silence, we experience the moving forward and evolving into a maturitythat was deserved and rightfully fought for. Wonderful story it only gets better from here.
Thank you Natasha Preston for writing from the heart and being strong minded to give the main character a back bone in which her belief of self acceptance evolves. Truly a genuine tale.

I liked the story but there were quite a few typos unfortunately and from what I just read on the author's website this is it having been re-edited which is a shame as it lets the book down.
