This book was incredibly hard to listen to but it was exactly what was needed after book 1.
It is a few years after book 1 and it really gave us the closure needed from book 1.

Really getting to see Oakley as a whole person and happy with Cole is exactly what I needed after such a heavy storyline.

I loved Oakley’s brother and how protective he was/is. I just wished the narrators hadn’t made him sound so whinny.
Other than that the narration is fantastic.

I loved the first book of the series, this one was okay. The trial was interesting and there were cute moments between Oakley and Cole but it was just eh.

I read this straight after the first as I wanted to find out what happened. It lived up to expectations. Great read, ignoring all the spelling and grammar errors

Good

Well written. Good ending to the story. Glad Oakley gets closure from what happened to her when she was young.

I absolutely loved the first book, and there's something extremely cozy about the way this author writes. The second book dragged a little bit to me though.

The time jump at the beginning was super frustrating to me. But all the emotions from the first book were still there. I loved the way the family rallied together and created even stronger bonds.
