Yk what these age gap in DR genre is definitely not it . You can make it forbidden but c'mon the glaring power imbalance is just cruel .
4.5 stars from me. I devoured this book in like two days completely. I felt so many emotions in this one. It felt like i was watching it with how invested i was in these characters. I was so glad they got the happy ending they deserved and i could see myself reading this again if im ever in a slump.
Dang it, I really thought this was going to be better. I needed an epilogue! I wanted to see Fawn grow a bit more. She's on her way to becoming a strong woman and Clays queen but I feel like the story stopped before she could accomplish that. Her inability to voice her wants and concerns starts to get annoying. It seems like the Butchers are healing but I don't plan on reading the other books in the series. (I've only read Clay and Fawns story).
fast-paced
I liked this and the fact that the age gap wasn’t a prominent focus. He still treated her as an equal and helped empower her while still wanting to protect and care for her in a way that didn’t come off as creepy of infantilizing. Enjoyed seeing Clay thaw and be happy. Wish the wife bit was explored more or that she was more involved but get why she wasn’t
The perfection really did continue with this.
If a man spoke any of those pretty little words to me or about me in real life, I. WOULD. BE. PUTTY.
It certainly gave me the warm fuzzy feelings.

I didn't like how the book first started off and just couldn't get into the plot or how the fmc acted.
Overall just didn't keep me wanting to continue.
