Well, that was a cute little story ! Nothing new here, but I'm a sucker for this kind of trope. I loved the snark & banter, Andy is such a dork, he's hilarious ! Law is a sweet guy, I liked the way he handled Andy's insecurities : helping him to get through them without treating him like some fragile thing either.
They were sweet together, their romance was kind of adorable, very fluffy, and the banter was awesome !

On the down side, the ending was way too quick for my taste, even if the epilogue was sweet. But in the end, I quite enjoyed this book. :)

Briar Prescott, I love you.

I love her writing so much, I loved the Until You series, where both books where a little more angsty, but this one was wonderfully soft.

Practice lovers is really not my thing, but I have it a try anyway and this was lovely. Both Andy and Law were adorable, I love how Law especially subverts the closeted athlete trope. He was just a ball of softness. Andy is adorable, I love his sarcastic streak and his development. The trust and friendship between them is precious. I thought Law got attracted a liiil too fast, I might have liked for him to realise he wanted Andy a bit later but also: he liked Andy right away, told him he was perfect and didn’t need to change to be just that.

I thought that Falcon was a little distant as a friend and not super perceptive to have Andy hang out with their high school gang Andy is obviously not super comfy with, but the way he reacts at the end balances that out that was great actually.

Anyway, Andy and Law soulmates and the read was lovely.

A slow burn with a long wait for the payoff, but nevertheless exactly the light MM romance I was looking for. I liked the subversion of the classic “nerdy girl takes off her glasses and takes down her ponytail—hot jock realizes she was beautiful the whole time” with two men and an emphasis on how both 1. making more of an effort for your own sake can help you feel better and more confident, AND 2. you’re entirely loveable as you are.

I loved this!! The banter, the chemistry, the humor!! I laughed really hard and I awwwed just as much!

I loved how Law saw Andy. How he made him realize he wasn't the "sidekick", that he didn't need to change to make someone fall in love with him. He was perfect as he truly was, messy hair, buggy clothing with science puns t-shirts and quirky sense of humor. And I loved how Andy inspired Law to go after what he wanted no matter what was expected of him!

This was a lovely story and the narration by Joel Leslie and Kirt Graves made it all the better!

This was like a breath of fresh air: it was light and cute and funny.

Law and Andy have amazing chemistry together filled with lots of banter but also a deeper connection. They can truly and freely be themselves when they’re together, and nobody makes them feel as happy and confident as each other. Especially Law gives Andy a healthy dose of self-love which he was surely missing before they met.
It was just so nice to see them be so supportive and understanding of each other, especially since they seem like they’d be opposites. They were just great together, and I absolutely loved that.

The plot itself is also entertaining.
Andy thinks he has to alter himself to change from a “sidekick” into a “hero” in order for his best-friend and unrequited crush, Falcon, to finally notice him in a different way.
In comes Law, who promises to help Andy with his “make-over” (even though he doesn’t think Andy needs it) in return for some tutoring for half of the hockey team who are currently failing their physics class. A deal is struck between them, and Law and Andy quickly fall into a friendship that develops into more.
It’s a funny yet sweet ride, and although both of them are scared to admit their true feelings for each other, the miscommunication didn’t really annoy me, but rather kept the tension and slight pining going.

The only thing that really bothered me was that Andy took up until the very end of the book to choose Law over Falcon. Hell, he was literally confessing his love to FALCON and kissing him in the final 15 pages. It just didn’t sit right with me that Andy had to try things with Falcon first to fully realise he was truly in love with Law. I feel like his feelings should have just been obvious on its own, especially after so long..

Anyway, all in all, I really enjoyed this book. I had lots of fun with it and I really loved the couple.
