I LOVED this book! Andy and Law were adorable and I enjoyed every second of their banter.
The epilogue, sweet baby Jesus...it was perfection.
Is this going to be a series? I need this to be a series. Falcon should probably get a book.
Side note: super annoyed that goodreads isn't syncing my highlights. *side eye emoji*

This was the perfect comfort read for me. Light-hearted but not just fluff. The MCs have nice depth, and the author put in the time and work to build their connection, slowly becoming friends before becoming something more. I love the casual sex turning into something more serious trope, especially when combined with a friends-to-lovers trope, ESPECIALLY when you throw in the college-age MCs. That's my go-to comfort formula, and this was exactly what I needed yesterday.

Project Hero is a light, heartwarming romance between a physics-lover and a jock.
Andy has a crush on his best friend Falcon since forever and he’s done waiting for him to realise they are made for each other. Falcon needs to see him like boyfriend material, not like the nerdy brother he has to protect. He’s determined to stop being the sidekick and become the hero of the story. Only that he’s not sure how.
Law needs a physics tutor for his hockey team and Andy is the man for the task. They make a deal: Law will help him with the makeover Andy is sure he needs in exchange of tutoring the team. Everyone wins, right? But when Law gets to know Andy, he starts to fall for him instead. Helping Andy to charm other man is not fun anymore.
I would have read this book only for Andy. It was super easy to connect with him and his humour was HILARIOUS. I totally get why Law was in love with him, Andy made everything so much better.
Usually, I dislike stairs. People have gone through a lot of trouble to come up with the concept of an elevator, so I’m a firm believer that we should honor their work and let ourselves be whisked through the air in metal boxes, where the only physical activity involved is lifting our fingers and pressing a button.
As for Law, the boy deserves a hug for helping Andy by destroying his heart in the process. It was the unrequited love trope at its finest, and I enjoyed every moment of angst. Also, they were so much fun together. Project Hero is the kind of book you can reread over and over again when you need a shot of happiness and laugh in your life.
Overall, if you are in the mood for achill, pure good vibes book that will make you laugh and smile, but also suffer a bit with the unrequited love trope, I truly recommend giving Project Hero a try. I have read almost all the books by this author and this one is hands down my favourite.
Andy: I made that pros and cons list you wanted.
-Sex counts as exercise (5 calories per minute. We could do it instead of the gym sessions if you are worried having sex with me will be hard to fit into your schedule).
-Sex improves sleep (you could be asleep right now if you’d taken me up on my offer before.)
-Sex boosts your immune system (you’ll thank me when you won’t have to skip games because of a common cold).
-Sex lowers heart attack risk (I mean, you’re young, but being proactive about your health is never a bad thing).
Law: What about the cons?
Andy: Sex relieves stress. Let’s do it, and you won’t have to worry about the cons anymore.

This was cute and sweet. Andy sees himself as an ordinary science nerd, with his wild mop of hair, his comfort-is-everything approach to dressing, his brilliance for physics (that he sometimes discounts), and his heaping dose of social anxiety in groups. He's best friends with Falcon, a handsome athlete and long-time neighbor. Having Falcon at his side has kept him from loneliness and bullying for years, and Andy has developed a major crush on his best friend. But he can't imagine someone as amazing as Falcon would ever feel the same. Andy needs to transform himself, enough to be a better match for Falcon, before he speaks up about his feelings.
Law has been looking for a physics tutor for the hockey team he coaches, and everyone says this guy Andy is his best hope for keeping half his players eligible to play. But Andy reacts to the idea of tutoring a group of seven strangers with horror. Law's a smart guy, though - he's sure there's a work-around. His first attempt is to have Andy tutor him, and then he'll try to pass that on to his team.
Their one-on-one sessions are fine. Better than fine. They get along well enough that soon Law is helping Andy implement his turn-sidekick-into-hero-material plan. Even though Law doesn't see anything wrong with who Andy is now. And even if he thinks Andy's goodness shouldn't have to be altered for the sake of a guy like Falcon.
The tutoring doesn't go as well, and soon Law is pulling Andy out of his comfort zone. It's going to be one heck of a summer for Andy. In fact, sometimes he almost forgets that his ultimate goal is to get Falcon to see him as boyfriend material...
Both characters here are fun. Andy is occasionally a bit over the top - one might take a few of the anecdotes as hyperbole, but then they don't fit with his otherwise honest and slightly clueless nature. Law is a little too good to be true. But they are charming together, and there is a sweet warmth to the story that makes it a fun read. I particularly liked the tone of the ending with Falcon, and the epilogue gives us a solid HEA. A good comfort read choice.
