What a sweet romance! I love this story and the idea that your partner brings out the best in you.
I appreciate that no one is really demonized in this story. It's so easy to make parents uncaring or neglectful in the worst ways.

Lately I'm really lucky with the books I pick...
What a nice surprise this story was: Andy and Law are such good company when life is stressful!
Law is an ex-hockey star trying to build a career in coaching. Quite a number of his young players have failed a physics class so he's in desperate need of a physics tutor so that they don't fail again which would mean they aren't allowed to play anymore.
Andy is a physics major and highly recommended to law as a great tutor only he's got severe stage fright and the thought of teaching 7 guys makes him feel more than slightly nauseous.
But when Law notices that Andy has a crush on his best pal and wants to become a new self in order to make Falcon actually see him, they come up with a deal: Andy gets a professional makeover and Law gets training to do the physics tutoring himself.
The result of their deal is that they spend a lot of time together, become fast friends - Andy gets a new wardrobe and haircut, gets introduced to a gym routine he grows to like and even gets to realize that he *can* overcome his phobia of speaking in public when he steps up to do the tutoring himself instead of let Law stumble.
The jock and the nerd could be the label for the story, but Project Hero is much more.
Andy doesn't want to be the overlooked sidekick anymore and tries to evolvie into a hero to get noticed by Falcon, his best friend since middle school. But he's not only a nerd, he's a great character, not the invisible guy. Whcih Law, the "jock" notices from the get go. Law is the perfect coach - he watches out for his players, and he watches out for his friend Andy. Whom he grows to like much more than just a friend. Wtich him, Andy never is just the sidekick but his won hero from the start.
They complement each other, they respect each other, they grow thanks to each other.
It's very, very nice to accompany those two during their summer of tutoring (physics, self-improvement and physical attraction). Both are such interesting, kind and lovely characters!!
Also, Andy's way of expressing himself is so quirky, sarcastic and great.
I also liked a lot how Andy and Falcon reacted to the big "reveal" of Andy's feelings. You cannot help but root for Law against Falcon for the majority of the story, but Andy would not be best friends with Falcon would he not essentially be a very decent guy.
In short: a very pleasant surprise!
This will certainly not the only book I read by this new-to-me author!

Nice light-hearted read with some funny lines. I appreciated how Law liked Andy for who he is and not who he thought he should be.
