Honestly.... this book was so simple, yet so wonderful. The banter, my goodness, the banter was hilarious and perfect and had me ravenous for more. I absolutely loved Andy and how awkward and rambly he was. Law was his perfect counterpart: calm, caring, and encouraging. They fit so well together and brought out the best in one another. I genuinely enjoyed seeing these two become friends become so much more. 10/10 I absolutely recommend picking up this light and fluffy read!

This is an easy 4.5 stars, though I am rounding it to 5 stars because I think it deserves them.

I simply love cliches that are done right. This is a very sweet book with the nerd/jock dynamic which I live for, and it was funny as well. Andy and Law make a very nice couple that had me turning the pages without stopping and they are also interesting as characters which makes it even better. I loved the combination and while the last few bits felt a bit too cheesy, I do not mind it at all, I could read another book of their established relationship because they're that fun.

Anyway, I do wish this was a bit longer because I was really sad to let them go, I might have to reread because I cannot get enough.

This book made me feel good.

4⭐️ Adorable and funny. I really enjoyed this sweet nerd/jock friends-with-benefits/virgin romance. Felt like an MM version of the popular book The Deal by Elle Kennedy.

Andy was charismatic and funny, while Law was so SWOON.

This is a fun book with great banter between the main characters, tender moments of longing, and a few spicy scenes.

Andy is in love with his best friend and agrees to help tutor the hockey team in exchange for help improving his confidence and image from the assistant coach, Law.

Andy is nerdy and anxious, and he has a lot of self-doubts, so when he’s focusing on gaining confidence to impress his best friend Falcon, Andy is able to relax and be himself around Law. After all, Law knows Andy has a crush on Falcon. He’s not trying to impress Law, anyway. This allows Andy’s true personality to shine through, and they develop a genuine friendship. Once they become friends with benefits, deeper feelings start to develop.

I really enjoyed the way that the author developed the friendship and romance between Andy and Law slowly, and I found the ending satisfying!

It was sweet watching them fall for each other. I also like how the best friend knew what their relationship was and did not get jealous.
