4⭐️ Read if you’re interested in: “Gossip Girl” meets British high society on crack with a touch of English gangs
First of all, my god that was messy (not the book itself, but the characters). It was painful — mind you, a good kind of painful — to watch the characters fight and f**k each other over like that. Like watching a car crash unfold in slow motion. I will say, I predicted the fallout and who was involved, but the drama and constant back and forth had me very invested. At times it did feel repetitive, I don’t think I would’ve stuck around for all the bs if I was in their friend group, but that’s probably what made it so good. My mind struggles to wrap itself around the idea of loving someone so intensely and wholly that being hurt like that for years is forgivable (of course until it’s not). But a very good read, I’m extremely invested in the rest of the story and am starting “Daisy Haites” immediately.

This book feels like reading UK Love Island. It's decently fast paced but also sometimes nothing is truly happening. It's filled with drama, stubborn characters who won't communicate. Characters making mistakes that they know are mistakes are continue to make them anyways - which should be frustrating, it can be frustrating, and it was also so fun to read.
This is not a book for everyone, but I thought it was fun and engaging. It was a pretty fast read for me. The book did have several typos and issues with printing (like the text messages) that were frustrating.

As Maddie would say (iykyk) this book is for people, I am not one of them.
This was hard to watch , & as a therapist … this just felt too close to my real life to be enjoyable.
I’m debating reading daisy hates because I’ve seen people swear her storyline is so much better buuuut if it’s anywhere close to the same kind of toxicity… I don’t think I can do it.
I have a headache.

These characters are messy, toxic, dramatic, and I COULD NOT STOP READING!!!! I loved the entire adventure with Magnolia and BJ. Their commentary on the situation added so much extra context than just the straight storytelling point a to point b. I also loved that they are acting age appropriate. The drama and drunken escapades are so on point for how I think wealthy 20 something’s would act. Yet the heartbreak and longing is so relatable to everyone!
