I believe I picked this up on a Stuff Your Kindle event and probably went about my merry way. Then I saw the gorgeous omnibus come across my TikTok page and went to look more into the series. I hemmed and hawed over it and bit the bullet!
I REALLY enjoyed this book and I came to leave a review to help support the author because I really want more people to pick this up. The premise of a tattoo shop with magical ink is a pretty unique concept. And I can say that I’m really enjoying the magic system and the colorful world that is painted. Talia (the main character) is very relatable with her sometimes intrusive inner monologue. Biscuit… BISCUIT is an absolute treasure (hello Andarna vibes?) and provides adorable comic relief. I also love Talia’s mother, Dee Dee, for her somewhat obnoxious but doting nature.
I can’t wait to continue this series! I also HIGHLY recommend checking out the audiobooks because the narrator really brings the story to life!
