JP has brought the series back to the brink. Detective Boxer can't seem to stay away from trouble and Cindy (the journalist) is paying the price for fame. Will be interesting to see where the Women's Murder Club goes from here. Somehow I doubt this will the last time they find themselves entangled with yet another murderer.

I enjoy reading a series where your characters are so familiar it’s like running into old friends. I’m with Boxer on the feeling and questioning whether it’s time to give it up, there were certainly times when I felt that the women’s murder club were past their prime and was feeling a little tired and all been done before. However, the writing and quick read chapters make these books enjoyable and easy to read. I’m always going to want to pick up a Patterson book but I do wonder if it’s time for these ladies to retire or *gasp* someone to be killed off!! There is no shock value or surprising twists but it is a safe and known entity when you decide to pick a Womens murder club series book…. The main characters will prevail, they will survive, they will be there for each other and there will be a serial killer/gruesome murderer/deadly opponent

This book was a mess. Barbara Sullivan’s bruises wouldn’t still be healing when she went to trial. Cindy “didn’t order room service” but had the driver leave it on the door. If it were better edited I might have found her abduction more gripping. Like other titles - Richie is NBd didn’t know she was missing for 12 hours. So weird. But yet I always read them.

This is another one of James Patterson’s ‘Women’s Murder Club’ thrillers. It was definitely a page turner.
