I just couldn’t get behind these characters. I had no issues with the writing and really enjoyed the first book in this series but I just wanted to shake Erin. Like girl make up your mind. I just felt like there were a lot of things that the characters did that just made me not want any of them to be together.

no one does angsty romances better than elizabeth o’roark

Two times I have read this book. I enjoyed this the first time since I rated this 4 stars. But can’t say the same for the second read.

Brendan annoyed me. His solutions to any problem was to hookup with a random girl. I hated that. His continuous aversion to commitment and not wanting to be in a relationship was getting on my nerves. I didn’t like Erin all that much either.

Also she broke up with Rob to get a fresh start. To see if she’s happy without him. But when she gets together with Brendan, they are acting as if someday she’ll go back to him. That annoyed me. Talk it out people! I don’t like this unnecessary tension which is not enjoyable.

Out of the blue I remembered this book and wanted to check if I still liked. Apparently not.
