Drowning Erin

Elizabeth O'Roark

I have to admit I was a little bored the first half of this book, but it picked up the second half. I enjoy all of the Elizabeth O’Roark books I’ve read so far, but this is probably my least favorite. The problems the couple have became a little repetitive. And this is a common trope in romance books, but so many issues could have been cleared up with a little bit of communication. But saying all that, I still did enjoyed the story.

did i love this one…. MORE than waking olivia???? quite possible
IM ACTUALLY OBSESSED.
THE ANGST, THE PUSH AND PULL, THE DRAMA, THE TENSION. A FULL COURSE MEAL IM STUFFED IT WAS DELECTABLE

i DEVOURED this book. i absolutely eat up an angsty, years-long, will-they-won’t-they romance. and this DELIVERED. everything about it was so fucking good.

brendan MARRY ME KING i’m in love. his pov is mainly from four years prior to the storyline and i just looveeeeee reading about how much erin annoyed him. annoyance caused by attraction is literally the yummiest trope and brendan’s rent was DUE!!! him being such an asshole to her for no reason had me hooked on this man and i have no good reason for it. come to find out he’s actually OBSESSED with her?! AAAHHHHHHH

erin was kind of a let down for me, only in the sense that her misogyny was off the frickin charts. i get that it was due to jealousy but goddamn let these women live

Another book by Elizabeth that I really enjoyed. I enjoyed the writing of this book and the plot was really good. This book got me so cross though urgh I hated Erin’s husband, absolutely hated him. He was such a conceited man.

But I loved the romance in this book I liked the slowburn, it was a good read.

It was irritating when Erin was being rude to the women Brendan was with.   I feel like things should have completely ended sooner than it did with Rob. I wish we got more of Erin and Brendan together at the end when it was only them.

I love Erin & Brendan’s chemistry! I’m so glad I read Waking Olivia first. I didn’t think I could like a couple more than Will and Olivia then boom, Erin & Brendan! I wish there were more like them.
