DID NOT FINISH

Slow, felt dated to me, just not what I was looking for
slow-paced

The narration is exceptionally hard to read - I think this book could be improved by a first person narration and/or a third person narrator that doesn't sound like they're trying to explain humankind to an alien.

Needlessly rags on LA (also where in LA are people "constantly" speeding above 70 mph) and at one point a doctor tells the main character that migraines are not headaches (????).

I stumbled across this on Libby looking for a light read.

when I got the notification this book was available on libby I was like ? why did I place a hold on this ? but the second silver lake was mentioned I knew LMAOOO love my neighborhood REP

wish it was either more focused on the drama or more focused on the romance, seemed to limbo between the two and didn’t flesh out either as much as I would’ve liked! still good tho!
