Follow Me Back

3.6 AVERAGE

I went into this book, not sure what to expect. The summary sounded like it could be interesting, but I also felt that it could have just been so wild and ridiculous that I couldn’t have enjoyed it. This book was a wild ride that I did really enjoy.

Tessa Hart, after an incident, struggles to even leave her bedroom. The internet is the only thing that really allows her to communicate with the outside world. With one tweet, she starts a trending hashtag about her favorite pop star, Eric Thorn.

After another celebrity is killed by one of his fans, Eric Thorn is frightened of his fans. He wants to lay back and lay low especially with him trending, but his PR team insists on he use the moment to interact with his fans. But, he just wants to shatter his online image and get away from it all. But, what was supposed to be a way to shatter his online image turns into what could very well be an unexpected relationship.

I think the best way to go into this book is expecting a good time, not a great time. I had issues with it for sure, but overall, it was just a fun escape and fun time for me? And that cliffhanger left me really feeling like I need to pick up the second book. I just need to see what in the world is going on.

Follow Me Back is a quick read that has mystery vibes. I don’t want to talk a lot about it because it has problems and it would really seem like I didn’t enjoy the book, but I promise I did. It was a fun escape from everything and just ridiculous enough to keep me going.

I got a chance to find this gem off net galley and I could not put it down! We have all had atleast a small fangirl crush on some celebrity at some point in our lives. Who could ever believe that they would actually end up in a relationship with them. This book had me fangirling over the characters right till the end that I defiantly didn't see coming but should have. The story is almost to good to be true but i guess thats why the twist at the end is so perfectly placed but also a little confusing to why. I may have missed it because i couldn't put the book down and read it almost all in one night. This is a great book warning teens of the use of social media and the good and the bad that can come of it and you just never know what side your on ;).

"Taylor: And then you know what he’d do, Tessa? Then he’d forget you ever existed and go about his day.” – This hit me big time.

Follow Me Back has been in my TBR for a long time. I hadn’t had a chance to start reading this because of my tight schedule. But one of reading buddies keeps on bugging me to read this book because she could relate to the characters. So, yes, I started reading it and made a Twitter thread about it. I kind of expecting a lot from this book and I must say that this book is under-hype.

Eric Taylor Thorn, a public figure/ celebrity. He is paranoid that someone will hurt or kill him because of what happened to Dorian and that gives him a trauma and to fear his fans.

Tessa Hart, has agoraphobia and use creative writing to release tension. She finds Twitter a comfortable platform. Something terrible happened to her during a camp in New Orleans.

Follow Me Back gives me creeps, made me question myself if I’m still fangirling or already stalking a celebrity but overalll I like this book! This book is mind-blowing.l although some twists are predictable and yet it managed to messed me up. Moreover, there are so many unanswered questions because, yes, the ending is cliff hanging (I do love books with cliff hanging ending).

3.5 stars. It would have been more if it wasn't for the ending. I'm so disappointed with writers not able to make a stand alone. That weird twist at the ending was a real let down, whilst the rest of the book was really nice and entertaining

Ich habe vor gut einem Jahr dieses Buch auf Wattpad gelesen und muss zugeben ich bin #ericthornobsessed
dark mysterious fast-paced
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

very YA.

This book was so fantastically unrealistic and trashy and suspenseful. Originally from Wattpad, this book is like reading a fanfiction that is amazing and long and definitely deserving of a book. I cannot wait for the second book.

WARNING: this book has so many triggers excuse me if I miss some but I would say: anxiety, mental illnesses, stalkers, violence (if you're concerned leave a comment and I'll let you know as best I can), so just take care with this one.

I picked this book up completely on a whim, I was in class and I just found it on my local library's ebook collection and I am so glad I did. This is such a great easy read. It has so many cute moments, it had me intrigued and turning digital pages so quickly. It was a great thriller in my opinion, you must know I am such a chicken so if you're a serious horror / thriller person this book is probably not severely thrilling but I thought it was great.

The characters were so much fun and multi-dimensional and you can't not like them. They have an amazing chemistry that is so swoon-worthy. There are really no major side-characters that I can discuss without spoiling a huge part of the book. But rest assured there are incredibly lovable main characters with struggles and back stories. Both Tessa and Eric are heroic and brave and just so great, certainly rooting for them both in the next installment.

The plot is ridiculous and it was so easy to get into and stay interested in. It's fast paced and kept me guessing and filling in blanks (having said that I am pretty certain I know what will happen in the next book for at least some of it). Honestly, this book is so much fun, it has twists and turns everywhere, that I found unpredictable and interesting.

The only reason I didn't give this book five stars was because the ending was kind of dodgy (but I have high hopes for the next book which I am dying for) and this book is just pure trashy YA. I love it, don't get me wrong, this book was the perfect book for the time when I read it, it was easy, quick and didn't require any of my brain, but it was just not an amazingly written or fantastically put together but it was certainly fun. I will most certainly be keeping an eye out for the next book in this particular series and anything else from this author.

“I never meant for it to go the way it did. I swear. I just wanted to talk to someone. I didn’t mean to fall in love.”

Tessa, a girl suffering from agoraphobia, is trying to cope with her situation by extremely active on twitter and by listening to the music of Eric. On the other side, Eric gets sick of his life, his passion is now just a way to earn money. Majority of his followers are just drooling over his body, they don’t even listen to his music. His so-called fans annoy the hell out of him.

The story is cliche but unique, I liked the concept. The writing style is intriguing. Tessa and Eric are completely relatable and I was rooting for them. Some times they were a bit too much *cringy*. But overall I liked the story.

It is actually uncommon that a story is sweet but also dark. The twists and turns kept me on edge. Didn’t even heard the name of the book ever before, found in Dollar tree, got it, read it, liked it. The ending was a cliff hanger, and I was so invested in the book that I immediately jump into sequel after finishing it.

Though I didn’t like Tessa’s mother, her character was so confusing which just makes readers confuse and her character doesn’t even help to story in anyways.

“We always made each other feel better—even when it seemed like everything else in our lives was going straight to hell.”

my first reaction to when I finished reading this book..
WAIT WHAT WHAT HAPPENED!!! NO NO DON'T END THIS HEREE!! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!!! DANG YOU A.V.!!!
Now that I got that out of my way.. I have to say I couldn't put this book down!! I was so drawn to the Tessa and Eric!! the relationship was a up and down thing!! from a hater (eric) to friends to broken friend to friend again and to a romantic relationship!! I LOVEEEDD EVERYY single second!!
pls that ending.. Bosh had me SHOOK!!!

cuz lets be honest if this ever happened in real life (maybe it has?) I would diee!!

pick this book up on a kindle or read book!! you don't wanna miss out on this story!! I can't wait for the 2nd book!!
