"How will we ever get out of this labyrinth of suffering?"
The interesting thing about a labyrinth is that, unlike a maze, there are no dead ends. A labyrinth has one path to the center, and then you follow that same path back out. So the way out of the labyrinth of suffering is the same as the way in.
But since there is only one path... encountering the Minotaur is inevitable.

It wasn’t bad, it was just kinda boring and my library loan was up lol. I probably should’ve just pushed through and finished it cause I only had 1.5 hours left… I just didn’t really connect with the characters. Alaskas death didn’t really affect me. Also I thought I was gonna really click with John Greens writing, but at the beginning i COULD NOT STAND being in Miles head. I feel like there was lots of objectification of women from a teenage boys head (to be fair Alaska called this out every time she heard it which I appreciated) which I guess is realistic but it made me so uncomfortable every time it happened or every time they called a girl a bitch. Anyways, just kinda boring but I can see why it’s a favorite of so many people. I think if I read it when I was younger I would’ve liked it more. I just don’t connect to the story very much.

REALLY an interesting book, although not a setting or a protagonist I would normally be drawn to (adolescent male in a private boarding school..).
It's hard to talk about this book without giving too much away, really. It's a book about how much effect one person can have on the lives of those around them, and how we all deal with life, and its incumbent ups and downs. It's about relationships, growing up, great last words, really smart teenagers, and at least ONE way to get OUT of the labyrinth..
All I can say is, read it - it's really worth the time!!
