Although I always hate it when books feel the need to detail teenagers kissing or having sex (seriously, it's weird!), the overall story of the book was really interesting. Sometimes it felt slightly repetitive, but the story still kept me hooked enough to read the entire book in a day. The book has an open ending, but it doesn't feel like an annoying cliffhanger. It gets you, the reader, to think deeply about life, death, and the definition and meaning of both of them. Very impressive debut novel.

Ugh I loved this book a lot. Instantly cared for the characters and wanting to learn more about them and why they are the way they are. It’s a beautiful, tragic, coming of age story that was so enjoyable. I laughed. I got sad. I teared up. I laughed some more. It’s always nostalgic reading about high schoolers and what they’re going though but that’s why I like it. It takes you back to a place you remember so well. If gives off a “perks of being a wallflower” vibe which makes sense why I liked it so much.

Fuck Miles. I don’t like(/really dislike) the main character and it just plummets for me from there. I just couldn’t enjoy it… it had some endearing parts tho i guess. So it a solid 1 Star, not just because there’s no lower rating

John Green always makes me bawl like a fricken baby. This book is no exception. It was one that had sat on my TBR shelf for years, then the Hulu show came out, and my interest in the book spiked again. I'm glad I read the book and watched the show. Both are heartbreaking in the most gut-wrenching way, like a deep hollow in your soul. I'm convinced John Green is stealing pieces of other people's souls and making horcruxes. No one can convince me otherwise.
