My first review for the year, and we’re starting strong.
This book has been on my bookshelf for months. Why!!! Crew and Wren have been carved into my heart.

What I love mostly is Wren’s innocence and how patient Crew is with her, until she starts to unravel just for him. He didn’t corrupt her or do anything she didn’t want to do, and sometimes I just need a refresher from the dark to the light.

Oh, before I forget (ha, like I could ever forget that) I could never look at a blow pop the same. Sheesh, it’s one of the hottest things I’ve ever read.

I will recommend this book, to eternity.

Tropes:
Enemies to lovers
Untouched FMC
Prep School
Opposites attract

Favorite Quotes: *May contain spoilers*

“When we’re lucky enough to find someone that makes our world brighter, shouldn’t we grab hold of that person and never let them go?”

“It’s been three years, four months, two days and a handful of hours since the first moment I set eyes on her. The most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. The absolute bane of my existence.”

“I protect what’s mine.”

“You sure you want me to be your first?” He drifts his fingers across my cheek, sliding them into my hair, holding the side of my head, forcing me to meet his gaze. “Because after I take one, I’m going to want them all.”

“Don’t say it, Birdy. Not now, when we’re FaceTiming each other.” His smile is smug. “Save it for when we’re actually together.” I burst out laughing. “How did you know?” “Because I feel the same way.”

“Now you owe me two million kisses.”

“What’s your favorite color?” “Green.” He leans in, his mouth so close to my ear, just like I imagined last night. “Like your eyes.”

This love story was so messed up but in the best way possible. I enjoyed the rollercoaster and the longing. I also enjoyed the yearning and the development of the different relationships and friendships. I also enjoy how there’s always a level of academic devotion I. This series as I  find that so important. Enjoyed the story.

An alright book.
I stopped reading it maybe after 40 chapters…it became very repetitive…and I think 3 stars is a lot for it

This book drew me in within the first chapter and that says a lot. It was a page turner for me and I finished it within a week! I loved the enemies to lovers trope.

This was my favorite book in the Lancaster Prep Series.

the OBSESSION with her virginity is ick ick ick. but the painting subplot was the cute part. so that is the only reason it got a two stars.

I really liked the story, it captivated me like Monica Murphy usually does, I read it and finished it in less than 15 hours.
The story is good, it has a plot but not much, it focuses more on the characters although I must say that despite the fact that I loved the book I feel that it was missing things and that is why my score is 3.5
  • It lacked conflict, the story is quite linear without potholes, surely that was the author's intention, which is perfect, but I personally was a little disappointed.
  • There is one scene in particular that I thought was an indication of a conflict, but it wasn't, and this is repeated quite a bit throughout the book: indications of conflict that will not turn into anything, for example: the scene in the cabin, when the protagonists return  Shopping, she went to take a shower and he stayed waiting for her in the living room, his father calls him and after hanging up he gets furious/frustrated and drinks vodka (quite a lot, I could say). I thought this was going to lead to him possibly ranting at her or speaking badly to her unintentionally. and that this leads to a discussion (non-violent) but a discussion in the end and generates conflict, this did not happen and the detail that he drank vodka is unnecessary since it leads to absolutely NOTHING
