Silene is a reaper that has always hated the god of life. She had a very difficult and traumatic life which eventually lead to her suicide. Because of the suicide, she has to serve the god of death as a reaper for 500 years.

Gabriel fell in love with Silene during her life but since he could not intervene in human affairs, he had to watch her suffer. When he tried to change her fate, he made a bargain that had unforeseen consequences.

During her service as a reaper, Silene falls in love with Gabriel. Unfortunately, they cannot touch each other or it would kill her. She makes a deal with the god of death so that she can touch him at least just for a day. But after that day is done, Silene forgets everything and is forced to continue her service as a reaper for another 500 years.

Now Gabriel is fated to long for Silene from afar. He occasionally gets her to notice him and he tells her their love story but the next day she forgets everything and he is cursed with remembering.
