A very emotional story about grief and friendship. I think I would have gotten a bit frustrated with Alice if not for the balance that Ben brought to the story.

What a lovely story about grief and friendship. It had a gravity to it, yet managed to be humorous, and hopeful.

"The people we love die.
They people we love also live.
So we should too."

Beautifully Sad Story

Lovely story of how grief can bring people together in their time in need.
Ben lost his brother and Alice lost her husband they were buried next to each other. When Alice was visiting her dearly departed husband’s grave she comes face to face with a man dressed as Kermit the Frog coming onto the hill to visit the grave next to Joes. At first she thinks he’s a weirdo sex pervert but turned out Harry had put in his will that Ben has to dress up in whatever costume he has left each year when he visits him! They spark up a conversation as they both need to vent about their grief and become friends and meet each year. Beautifully sad story about how 2 strangers can open up and lay everything out there and become best friends/ surrogate siblings!

Made me cry multiple times throughout this book but loved how they worked through their grief over the years.

Such a well done, heartwarming fiction on grieving the loss of those we love and the healing power of being truly seen in our pain. ❤️ Highly recommend!
