Stolen from another review but "I loved this book but I didn't enjoy it". I still think about it often. 
Such raw honesty and at times felt like she'd been in my mind.  She perfectly got the juxtaposition of being a mother.

Beautiful writing and lovely sense of setting, definitely not an enjoyable read (which is not the point) - strong themes of melancholy, loneliness, regret and so forth
