Eek!! The range of emotions that this book took me on was tumultuous and welcome!! I loved the new setting and the growth of all the characters. This series was an interesting spin on an ensemble book and this one really tied up the ends. I was on the edge of my seat during the final battle!

ALSO I WAS RIGHT!!!! I never doubted it for a minute (well maybe but not really)!

Thank Goodness that weird faux-incest stuff got resolved. THAT was really alarming.

All in all, nice ending to the 3-book story arc. I enjoyed this. Now on to the next book.

I’m so conflicted on this series. On one hand, it’s too YA for me right now. The main romance is SO weird and frustrating, and I don’t really love any of our main characters. Also there was a side character death here that should have been pretty devastating, but everyone seemingly moved on like immediately?? And yet despite all that, there is something about this world that sticks in my brain. Is it worth continuing? The reading order I’m following would have me read The Red Scrolls of Magic next and then Clockwork Angel. Lemme know your thoughts!
