i really enjoyed the final chapter in the mortal instruments series. cassandra clare wrapped up the series well.
unlike in breaking dawn (of the twilight saga) i never felt that any of the characters actions or motives were unexplainable and unlike them. although some plot points were slightly predictable, the story unfolded in natural way, slowly revealing points that had been raised in earlier books but had not been fully explained.
the interaction between clary and jace, as always, was the highlight. although i would have enjoyed a little more time with them.
although i am sad to have to leave these characters, city of glass was a fitting ending to a fantastic series.

Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series has proved to be a pleasant surprise. While her writing ability is somewhat sketchy in the first book, she quickly improves with each subsequent book. Some may have absolutely hated this series, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed the first half of this series and am,already starting the second.
Really enjoyed this one. Now I’m getting further into the series the less I can predict what’s going on from the tv show. Which is great, as I enjoy it more 🤣

I have never wanted osmosis to work so badly. I wanted to instantly know everything to be revealed the moment I picked up this book. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I feel that Clare writes relatable character; I feel their pain with them and there was plenty of it in this book. As someone who always figures plot twists out before they are revealed, I appreciate anyone who can fool me and keep me guessing. Throroughly enjoyed this story. AMAZING. There were several moments when I wanted to throw the book through a window with sheer excitement and paced the house several times saying, "Oh my GOD! OH MY GOD!" So glad I kept reading!
