Wow. It's finished. Valentine is dead, and at the end of the day, Valentine basically killed himself. Huh.

He summoned the Angel and the Angel killed him and the angel saved the day. Yay.

For some reason, I was expecting Clary to wish for something like... Well, I don't know, something heroic or selfless or something. I guess if it were a normal person, they'd wish for the person they loved to come back too. But don't get me wrong- I'm happy Jace is alive. I think I like the fact that the wish was unique. If it were some other person in some other book, it would probably be a wish to save the world or something.

I knew it ! I knew it! I knew they weren't siblings. Well, it was pretty obvious. I just didn't expect the Valentine's other son to be alive. When the Jocelyn started telling Clary about the other son's evilness and how he was trained in battle- I knew. It was Sebastian. Ha. I mean, it was perfectly logical. He was swift like Jace. He had blonde hair. I was right. They did fling the fact they weren't related until the end. I hated that they did that, but it's not like I could do anything about it.

I don't know why every time I read endings I feel really sad. Maybe it's because none of the series I'm reading right now is ending. In Harry Potter, I felt this way too.

I think I would've been more satisfied with 4 books rather than 3. It felt rather rushed to me, for some reason, but the questions were answered. I would've loved it if it stretched a bit more. There just wasn't enough time for Jace and Clary together where they knew that they weren't siblings.

I still think the first book is the best book. The third book broke my heart because it's finished. =(

One of the better books in the series.

My only problems are, some of the descriptions of Alicante/Idris were hard to picture and some of the character's choices during the beginning of the book were questionable.

Great ending. I'm not sure how Cassandra Clare worked out all the intricate plot details in her head, but it made for a fantastic read!

This is exactly what I was talking about! This book was action-packed and full of surprises from the very beginning. Not a single moment felt dragged out, and I got exactly what I was hoping for after reading the first two books.

I absolutely devoured the plot—it was immersive, even though it marked the beginning of the end. I know the events in this book are the calm before the storm, but this only convinced me to continue diving deeper into the series to explore more of the storyline and characters.

Speaking of the characters, I'm so glad we got to read so many side character POVs. Of course, I'm heavily Malec-biased, so seeing their flirty moments and acceptance of each other in their blossoming relationship had me giggling like a schoolgirl. The constantly changing dynamics and developments of the current and upcoming couples were prominent—they had me both tearing up and snickering. However, I still haven't felt much of a connection to Clary and Jace. I'm not counting on it because they really did piss me off for a big chunk of the book, while the side characters and the plot for me were doing the heavy lifting better.

The action in this book kept me on the edge of my seat, always making me wonder what would happen next. By the end, we were left with as many questions as answers. The ever-expanding world and the rapidly progressing story make me glad I picked up this series. Overall, I would’ve given this closer to a 5 stars if I hadn’t already watched the show and knew what was coming.

Im glad I was right about Jace. I cant wait until April for the fourth book to come out!
