This just wasn't for me. I was bored through the whole book. The recipes sound good though. That's why it got 2 stars instead of 1.
This book was so cozy! And I loved that there are dessert recipes throughout. Can’t wait to read book two! (And I’m totally going to try to bake some chocolate chip crunches.)

the writing wasn't bad, but it was repetitive and the main character was annoying... and obsessed with mugs of coffee. not cups, always mugs. I don't understand why she was doing all this detective work. I know it was to help her brother in law get promoted, but it seems like he did nothing and she did it all, so he really shouldn't be a detective!
I was surprised how much I liked this. I thought I had put off straight up mystery books because I always knew who did it. But this one kept me guessing the entire time. Not to mention I like the humor of the main characters.
