It’s fine. Not that exciting. Hannah is better at self preservation than a lot of other main characters. The introduction of Mike the detective seems a set up for an unnecessary love complication later in the series. Seriously. The recipes look good though. Just trying to figure out how Hannah stays in business by just making cookies.

There are two types of books that will always steal my heart. The first is a book with locations that I am familiar with. I love reading a book and being able to perfectly see every description in my mind from familiarity. The second is a book that includes the recipes that are a part of the story. This story includes a few of my favorites. Recipes, murder and mayhem and small towns.
I’m excited to see that this is a pretty lengthy series as I can’t wait to see where Hannah Swenson goes from here
She is definitely one of those characters that you want to cheer on! So I’m going to file the recipes in my box with all intentions of making some during my holiday baking and start book two with the hopes of adding a few more!

Honestly loved it. There was twists and turns everywhere and it kept me guessing who killed Ron and Max until the reveal. I kept telling myself I was 100% sure who it was until the gun came out!
This series is so cheesy but a chubby, frizzy-haired redhead who loves to bake(w/ many recipes included in the book)? I loved it but be warned predictable and very light but fun.
