I am binging this series and loving every minute. This second chance romance was so interesting & emotional - the ways grief can take hold & change a person is really something I appreciated in Everly's story. And Hawk is such a steady MMC - never wavering on his feelings for her even after all these years. Throw in that small-town aspect, our MMC being a hockey player & some angst building up to their second chance "F" it moment - this had everything I loved. Also, the dual narration by Sarah McEwan & James Gloucester really made these characters come to life.
I really like the plot, some tropes, the “Ever mine” thing is just so heartwarming
But why this so bad writing, I wanted to cry when I have things repeated to me like I’m a fish Dori with a seven second memory
And the only way when that psychological talk was adequate and needed it’s in her psychology session, not everybody talking about her “running”
If we delete all the repetitions from this book it would be a good novella for 100 pages

I didn’t enjoy this as much of the first, but I still loved the vibes.
This is a second chance romance. They dated all through high school, and one day she called it quits. It’s broke his heart immensely, and 9 years later he still hasn’t been able to love anyone like her. Everly becomes his sports psychologist (he’s a professional hockey player), to try to figure out why he’s not doing as great as he should be on the ice. When Hawk goes back to the town it all started, and hangs out with Everly everyday, feelings start to rebuild.
This was just extremely fast paced, some parts seemed unrealistic…. I loved the family aspect of it. The characters were funny and wholesome. Everly would just feel bratty at times, and I would cringe. Her instinct is to automatically run when things get hard, and it was giving miscommunication trope.

Ever Mine is a second-chance romance, where two soulmates find their way to each other. Everly Thomas hasn't spoken to Hawk Madden since she broke up with him nine years ago. Now he is the NHL golden boy, and she has been hired by his team as a sports psychologist to work with him.
Hawk Madden has never gotten over Everly, the only woman he has ever loved. Now, they are back in Honey Mountain to work together. While both try to maintain a professional stance, old feelings resurface because, in a way, they both slowly rediscover the things they loved.
There is a lot of grief and feelings to unpack, but their journey is beautiful. Laura Pavlov always manages to deliver epic and profound stories that make me smile. The road might be full of bumps, and yet is mesmerizing. Ever Mine is infused with slow-burn, hilarious moments, comfortable banter, and great characters. Because let's be honest, the Thomas sisters are a force to be reckoned with.

4 ⭐️!!
High school sweethearts and second chance romance has my heart. OBSESSED with this series so far is an understatement. I LOVE the Thomas’ girl dynamic and watching their relationships blossom with their family and their loves.
Hawk and Everly had be sporting heart eyes the whole book. I’m a sucker for hockey romances and this one was small town as well so I was here for it.
Loved the character development with Everly - finally facing her fears between fight and flight.

Ever Mine ❤️
This book was a delight. I’m a sucker for second chance, small town and sports romance- and this baby had all three. Hawk and Everly were childhood friends and high school sweethearts. After losing her mom her junior year, she started to spiral and put distance between herself and those she loved. She broke up with Hawk after they graduated. Nine years later- she’s a sports psychologist and he’s a professional hockey player who’s heart isn’t in the game and needs to decide if he will retire or sign for another year.
While working together they were able to heal the past hurts and openly admit that they never stopped loving one another. I love the way Everly finally embraced her grief/and all her feelings and how she opened up to not only Hawk but her family.
The nickname of Ever Mine was so stinking sweet.
I am jumping right over to Ashlyn and Jace’s story!
