Ever Mine, is a second chance romance, about Everly and Hawk, high school sweethearts that were torn apart by grief. They have not spoken in a decade and when Hawk is having a mental block, keeping him from playing hockey well, he insists he needs a sports phycologist. He further pushes, Everly is the only person he is willing to work with.
I really liked Hawk and Everly. Despite things ending between them so suddenly, and unexpectedly on Hawks part, we never had to question their love for one another. Everly was more hesitant about their relationship but not for lack of feelings for him. This was a story where I wanted nothing more than for them to find a way to make it work.
I also need to recognize how great of a relationship the Thomas sisters have. I love that they are there for one another and that when shit hit the fan, they were reasonable and help each other see things clearly. That is a rare gift in life and Laura built a beautiful relationship between them.
